🌟 Kobudo Launch: A New Chapter at Brackenfell Shotokan Karate Academy! 🌟On Saturday, 11 January 2025, history was made at Brackenfell Shotokan Karate Academy as we hosted our first-ever Kobudo seminar! 🥋✨This incredible seminar marked the beginning of an exciting journey as we roll out Kobudo, a traditional Okinawan weapons discipline, to our students. Under the guidance of Sensei JP van Heerden, our Head Kobudo Instructor from Boland Dragons Karate, our instructors delved into the fundamentals of the Bo and Nunchaku, the first two weapons in the Okinawa Kobudo Kokusai Rengokai style.🔹 What makes Kobudo special?Kobudo not only enhances physical strength, precision, and discipline but also provides our students with the opportunity to compete in local tournaments and the WUKF SA Championships, showcasing their skills in this unique martial arts discipline.🔹 Highlights from the Seminar:✅ A deep dive into the history and techniques of Kobudo✅ Hands-on training with the Bo and Nunchaku✅ Insights into the importance of Kobudo in traditional martial artsWe are thrilled to expand our training program, offering our students the chance to embrace this rich tradition and develop new skills.
